Official Match Report

A UQFC player was shouldered in the head by a Redlands player when off the ball (no jersey number noted) and was taken off the field for the rest of the game. A number of body checks were ignored and comments by the referee given to players about faking their falls, even when a player was clearly fouled or injured. The match sheet was filled in incorrectly by the referee. We would suggest the referee undergo further training by Football Brisbane. **** Redlands Match Report: supporters from opposition team became aggressive
and abusive to Redlands team Manager and other Redlands staff when trying to care for the injured
player from UQ. The shoulder incident clearly an accident
and managed appropriately by ref. Accidents happen and Redlands
priority was welfare of the child. Abuse from UQ parent and coaching staff was not
appreciated nor appropriate
