Winter league football started on Saturday 6 April, involving Maori Hill JFC teams at all grades.more

MAORI HILL CLAIM WINTER TITLE

Maori Hill 13th Black has become the club's first team to win a 2012 winter
league title, taking the 13th grade crown with two games still to play. The
team, which also won this year's Green Island 7-aside title, was the
dominant force in the grade, securing the grade win with an unbroken stretch
of twelve successive winter league match wins.

Well done to the team, which is coached by David Thomson and Simon Cox, and
comprises the following players: Max Chu, Charlie Cox, Hendrix Denham,
Jordan Gain, George Gray, Ross Hall, Mark James, Fergus Keiller, Hunter
Kindley, Joshua Malcolm, Yugen Miyahara, Hunter Officer, Cameron Scott, Alex
Thomson & Will Young.

Little Kicks Having a Great Time

Maori Hill JFC’s inaugural Little Kicks programme has made a flying start this season.

Under the overall guidance of Murray Devereux, and with great support from parents, as many as fifteen 3 to 5 year olds a week have been acquiring fundamental football skills in a fun-filled Sunday morning programme.
