Disappointment on Past Players day

It was past players day at Civilex Oval and the club was looking to give the hero’s of old a chance to see the new young breed and hopefully a win against one of the top teams in Inverleigh. The team would be without Brayden Smith, Aiden Sleep-Dalton from the half back line plus Jackson Smith who sweeps from this line and this gap would be hard to cover.

Strong Win Over East

Two wins in a row and looking for a third Centrals were playing away against East Geelong who are in a similar position wins wise as we are. Josh Sloan was back in after injury otherwise the team was the same and is showing real stability. Time to become a Centurion Member. The Centurion Club has been set up to help our club meet its goals as we move into our 50th Season and we are hoping to get 100 members in 2019. Solid Results at Belmont

Centrals after a solid win last week against Bell Post Hill were looking forward to a matchup with the Belmont Lions who always give us a tough contest especially on their home deck. Josh Sloan was ruled out with injury but with Jackson Smith coming back and Matty Smith in his first game the balance did not seem to change. Finally A Win Over Bell Post

Centrals after a torrid game against Thomson who are said to be the ladder favourites were back on Civilex Oval and up against our age old nemesis in Bell Post Hill who we have not beaten since 2010 so it was told. It was time to get the old trophy back. Probably not the start we needed with many missed opportunities in front of goal and kicking with the wind and as the quarter progressed.......more

Greg Cullen 500th

Werribee umpire Greg Cullen is taking officiating his 500th football match in his stride.

He will clock up the milestone on Saturday, April 27, and said he hoped to mark the occasion by taking control of the Geelong and District Football League match between his beloved Werribee Centrals and Bell Post Hill at Galvin Park.

He said 500 matches was “sort of” a big deal.

Thomson Just A Little Too Good

After a shock first up loss it was an away game against last years Premiers Thomson and with everyone in the GDFL knowing this club had recruited far and wide we were looking forward to the challenge. With no real ruckman in the side our task was not be any easier but from the first bounce this young side showed Thomson they were not going to get it easy and put enormous pressure on the ball.....more

Two New Signings At Centrals

Werribee Centrals FNC would like to welcome Matt Miller and Brayden Smith to the Centrals Family in 2019.

Matt played VFL for Williamstown in 2008-2009, before joining GFL team Leopold as a full time player in 2010 through till 2018.

Matt is a dangerous mid fielder. His playing accolades include Most Consistent in 2010, Senior B&F in 2011, runner up Senior B&F 2012 & 2016 and was also awarded...more

Centrals Premiers in A & B Grades

WERRIBEE Centrals saved their best for last, turning the tables on Thomson to win Saturday’s GDFL A-Grade netball grand final with a thumping 28-goal victory. Still stinging from losing last year’s decider to the Tigers, the Centurions set the tone early and never looked back and never gave the opposition a chance.
