JUNIOR PRESENTATION AFTERNOON

Our Under 6 - Under 11 teams enjoyed a lovely sunny afternoon for Presentation Day at Cahill Park.
The players and their siblings played on the inflatable equipment, enjoyed a hotdog, chips and lolly bag before receiving their trophies. The afternoon finished with Issa and Hadi being re-presented with their 7 Year Service Medals in front of their team.more

7 YEAR PLAYING SERVICE AWARD

11 players received their 7 Year Playing Service Medals at their 2018 Presentation Nights.

SCOTS SPECIAL SERVICE AWARD

The award this year was shared by RUSSELL FLYNN and MICHAEL CHRISTIE, two of the clubs most dedicated workers.
Russell and Michael not only have a role with their own teams, but also do so much more for the club - be it set up and clean up at home games, supporting other club teams both in and out of district, and other behind the scenes jobs.

SENIOR PLAYER OF THE YEAR - LEE WILLIAMS

LEE WILLIAMS received the Gold Ross Kite Medal after being named the Arncliffe Scots Senior Player of the Year at Senior Presentation night on Friday.
In a moving acceptance speech, he also acknowledged the achievements of the Under 16 Boys and Girls teams, who both led by example in season 2018.
A true club man, Lee is a very deserving winner of this award.more

It is very important that you apply for your WWC number as soon as possible. If you have already applied, please advise us, as your APPLICATION number can be used as a temporary number until you are cleared.more

USING VIDEO CAMERAS AT JUNIOR LEAGUE GAMES

Could any parents wishing to use video cameras at games please ensure they have requested permission from the Ground Manager at the park PRIOR to using the camera.
This applies at ALL grounds, not just our home park.

SCOTS GIRLS MAKE HISTORY

History for Arncliffe Scots and the St George JRL with the first female team playing their first game today against Cromer Kingfishers at St Matthews Farm.
Although they did't get the win, they put in a courageous effort with no reserves.

If you have not yet applied for a WWC number, it is extremely important that you do so immediately.
Any Official over the age of 18 is required to have a WWC number.
It is an offence to work with children in NSW without a valid WWC clearance number or current application.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK (WWC)

The WWC Check has been operating in NSW for nearly 5 years and some WWC numbers will start to expire from 15th June 2018.
If your number is about to expire, you will be able to submit a renewal application online within 3 months of the expiry date. You will receive a reminder email from the Office of the Children's Guardian 3 months before your WWC number expires.more

ACTIVE KIDS REBATE

Many parents may have already received a letter regarding the ACTIVE KIDS REBATE, which the NSW Government is providing to every family with school-aged children. From 31/1/18, parents will be able to claim up to $100 per school child to reduce the cost of sport registration.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM THE JUNIOR LEAGUE

All Officials and Parents (Juniors & Seniors) please be advised that ONLY the Team Officials with a card in the Brag Book and the players can be inside the playing area. No siblings or players from other grade allowed.
It has been noted by the Junior League that it is becoming a problem and not helping to control the required Code of Conduct behaviour expected inside the playing area.more

Thank you to all those Officials who have supplied their WWC number for the database. However, we still need quite a few numbers to come in. It only takes a few minutes to apply online, and it is FREE.
For those Officials yet to apply, this needs to be done ASAP as the Junior League will not let Officials take part this season without a WWC check.
