The preparation of these teams, as usual, has been a very difficult and time-consuming job. A reminder that the committee, coaches, team managers and team selectors are volunteers and do not get paid for the umpteen hours they devote to KSC Phoenix.

We had dual Junior Club Person recipients for 2017, Charli McMahon and Rebekah Kroenert.
Charli has been playing basketball for Phoenix since Summer 2009 and currently plays in our 16/1 A grade team.
Rebekah currently plays in the 14/1 AR girls team and plays representative basketball for the Ringwood Hawks. She is also very active behind the scenes.

Congratulations to our 2017 Club Person of the year Michelle Kroenert. Michelle flies under the radar in terms of her contribution to the running of our club. She has been coaching for a few years now with the highlight of her career being her U/10 boys making the grand final last Winter. Michelle currently coordinates our highly successful biddy ball basketball program at BNPS.more
The Commonwealth Games have started and our hand made stars represent our club colours amongst the One Million Stars to End Violence.

Knox Basketball Stadium in Boronia has been the much loved stadium since 1975. It was given to the council at that time by the land owners and was stipulated that it is to be used as a sports precinct.

The AGM is over for another year and we are really lucky to have the majority of the existing Committee nominating to continue to serve our club, again being lead by our super President Marian Snary. Our former junior player Ben White is certainly 'trending' this week after being awarded his 8th consecutive EFL Best and Fairest award. So for each season Ben has played junior football he has won the medal which is voted on by those officiating the games. Over the past 12 months, St Josephs College has undergone a major revamp to its facilities, in particular the addition of the swimming pool at the back of the grounds near the basketball stadium and oval.
As a result of this completed works, there have been alterations to the parking available.

Frank has been involved with KSC Phoenix for approx 10 years during which time all three of his children have played and he has taken on the team manager role for every one of them, often all in the one season.more

Brianna Johnson and Kyal Robinson.
Brianna has played many seasons for our club and has now taken on the responsibilty of coaching.
Kyal also has played since a young age, he has assistant coached for several seasons and now has his own u10 boys team to coach.
