Message from TDJRL
❗️Message from TDJRL Chairman Mr Bert Petersen❗️
Given the number of incidents reported and complaints received in relation to, on and off field behaviour over the past couple of weekends, I wish to advise that the league will not tolerate bad behaviour and will take whatever action necessary against individuals and clubs to eradicate such behaviour from our game, a message needs to be disseminated to all club members in relation to following the Code of Conduct at all times, as it is a condition of entry to all games, if they are not prepared to observe the Code of Conduct than maybe they should consider not attending games.
Other issues that has been continually discussed and direction given on several occasions, but appears to be ignored and are required to be rectified immediately or maximum penalties will be enforced
•videoing of all international grades [under 13 – under 17] these games are to be videoed in their entirety no excuses will be accepted.
•International Games commencing without touch judges [no touch judge – no game]
•Spector’s, coaching staff, players who behave in a way contrary to the Code of Conduct and/or the spirit of the game, and ignore warnings to curb their behaviour should be requested to leave the grounds, if they refuse than the game shall be called off.
It is disappointing that we need to send out such emails as we should all be working together to showcase our game and show that we provide a family friendly game and atmosphere for our players and supporters, to enjoy the game they love, however our reputation continues to be dragged down through stupidly or people who don’t want to follow the rules and it appears some clubs are happy to tolerate and defend bad behaviour, until all clubs take a stance to achieve zero tolerance and we all support one another to eradicate such behaviour our reputation will never improve.
