Charles Moroney Park Upgrade

Council is committed to providing parks, sporting fields and recreational areas that promote active lifestyles, bring people together and contribute to the wellbeing of our city.

Project Overview

The facilities at Charles Moroney Park are at the end of their asset lifespan and need renewing. Council is planning to transform the area by installing a broad range of recreation facilities to activate the park.

The proposed plan for the park will include:

  • Playground upgrade
  • New pump track
  • New teen play area
  • New fitness course
  • Sports courts upgrade
  • Upgraded dog off-leash area
  • New multi-sports field
  • Upgraded Rugby League fields
  • Upgraded soccer fields
  • Car park & new pump house

The plan also proposes additional shelters, seating, irrigation, landscaping and drainage.

Council will be holding a series of community consultations where the community can see the proposed concept, talk to the experts and give their input into the final design of Charles Moroney Park. Residents are encouraged to have their say about what new features they would like to see established in Charles Moroney Park.

Saturday 21 July Rasmussen Woolworths, 9:00am – 1:00pm
Tuesday 24 July Charles Moroney Park (Clint St Carpark Area), 3:00pm – 5:30pm
Saturday 28 July Rasmussen Woolworths, 9:00am – 1:00pm

If you are unable to attend the sessions an online survey is available. The online survey will close on 5pm, 3 August 2018.
