Compression Garmet Policy

The use of Compression garments

Below is a summary of the the QRL Position on the wearing of Compression Garments (skins). It has been issued from the last QRL meeting.

QRL has endorsed a policy recommendation from a national level regarding the use of compression garments by players and officials of all levels.

The ruling is:

Compression garments such as upper body tops and tights may only be worn in matches as follows:

Garments must not extend past either sleeve of the jersey, hem of shorts, neck/collar or length of the socks

Compression garments must only be in black or skin tone in colour.
In the event of a breach, player will be asked to remove before taking the field.

The ruling does not apply in a training environment.

Please note that the policy cover officials as well.

If your on field apparel or dress does not conform to the above please ensure that it does before you next take the field.

Kind Regards,
David Penna President
