NRL Coach Accreditation (Coaches Updates)

All Courses are run from 6pm – 7.30pm and will be facilitated by our District Coaching Mentors

  •          Wednesday 9th March – Five Dock Park
  •          Wednesday 16th March – Holy Cross
  •          Wednesday 23rd March  – Blackmore Oval
  •          Wednesday 30th March – St Luke’s Oval

 MGC Course for coaches of U6 through to U12 – Cost $55

All Participants must register and do the online modules BEFORE attending the courses

There are 2 Courses in Balmain only – 6pm – 10pm

  •          Wednesday 16th March – Tigers Five Dock and Five Dock Park
  •          Wednesday 27th April – Tigers Five Dock and Five Dock Park

 Club Coach Course (participants must attend both to complete the course) - $75

Part 1 - Wednesday 16th March – Tigers Five Dock and Five Dock Park 

Part 2 – Wednesday 23rd March – Tigers Five Dock and Five Dock Park

 IGC Course - $55

13+ Age Groups – will advise the date of that course tomorrow

 Level 1 Sports Trainers Course – (Concord Oval, Loftus Street, Concord) – Cost - $180

See the information below on the requisites of the Course

Every Club wishing to host home rounds must have an Accredited Level 1 Sports Trainer on every FIELD (not running between fields)

For example if you are running multiple fields you must have a Level 1 Sports Trainer situated on EACH Field for the duration of all games on THAT field

If you are running Mini Games across a main field (1 Level 1 Sports Trainer will suffice)

Monday February 29th – 6-10pm

Monday March 7th – 6-10pm

Monday 14th March – 6-10pm

Monday 21st March – 6-10pm

 Level 1 Sports Trainer Course

  •          Delivery Partner: Sports Medicine Australia
  •          Duration: the Level 1 Sports Trainer Course is conducted over 16 hours.
  •          Cost: $180
  •          Post Course Requirements: all candidates are required to complete 25 hours ‘on the job’ supervised training to obtain their full qualification
  •          Course Modules: all candidates will complete the following modules:

1.    The Role of the Sports Trainer

2.    Safety in Rugby League

3.    Assessing the Injured/Ill Player

4.    Management of Soft Tissue Injuries

5.    Management of Fractures/Dislocations

6.    Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

7.    Management of Bleeding and Infection Control

8.    Management of Head and Spinal Injuries

9.    Management of Specific Medical Conditions

10.  Introduction to Basic Taping and Bandaging Techniques

11.  Poisons, Bites & Stings

12.  Environmental Injuries

  •          Reaccreditation: All course participants will need to complete a reaccreditation course prior to their qualification expiring. If the qualification lapses, candidates will need to complete the entire course again.

I will run a report to ascertain if there are sufficient people in our District who require a reaccreditation course.  Otherwise, those people may attend another in the metro area.

 CPR Update

It will also be compulsory for all Level 1 Sports Trainers to do a CPR Update annually.
