Matt Cecchin takes a stand against rubbish behaviour

In the recent Friday Night Footy match between Parramatta and Manly, leading NRL & Balmain Referee Matt Cecchin showed exactly how referees should handle players who simply will not listen to reasonable instructions.

After a second melee early in the first half where Beau Scott's provocative actions could have escalated a little "push & shove" to a fully blown "handbags at 10 paces", Matt showed everyone onfiled and in their loungerooms watching on TV that he is not a referee to be messed with.

Matt called Beau Scott out of play and left him in absolutely no doubt that his conduct was unacceptable and would not be tolerated. It was a great display of strength from one of the NRL's best & was an example we can all follow in the appropriate circumstances. Congratulations Matt on your strength and conviction.
