The NSWRL has recently launched a new initiative designed to improve the level of respect & positive interaction between players, team officials & referees.

In Season 2016, all players in NSWRL Competiions will be asked to sign a "Respect Pledge" as well as shaking hands before and after the game, as well as Captains and Referees shaking hands at the conclustion of each match.

The "Respect" initiative was launched as part of the announcement of a new sponsorship agreement with Brydens Lawyers for the NSWRL Referees for gthe next two seasons.
