Men of League Membership Drive

The Board of Directors would like your support in reaching this potential, and feel that it is time for a huge membership drive throughout Australia.  With the passing of News Limited’s part ownership back to the game and the advent of the Australian Rugby League Commission, the time is rife.  It is hoped that the Commission will take steps to assist the “grassroots” of rugby league and will listen to the Men of League in that regard.  The bigger our membership, the larger our voice and the better the chances of being heard.

The size of our membership is also representative of the number of people we can assist and a local committee’s ability to raise funds.  The more members we have will make us more aware of those experiencing difficult times that we will be able to assist.

With the significant changes that are going on in our game, the time has never been better for growth to occur in the Men of League Foundation.  This growth will lift the voice of the Foundation so that issues that are important to us and to you will get the appropriate hearing.

I would encourage grassroots rugby league clubs across Australia to assist this by endeavouring to identify a minimum of 10 (ten) new members for Men of League by the end of September. If all clubs were able to achieve this small target, more than 10,000 new members would be added to our database and ensure we were a powerful voice for the game at grassroots levels. Those who are already members can assist us following us on Facebook and

We trust your committee and club will choose to support this initiative. Should you wish to discuss ways Men of League can assist your efforts, please do not hesitate to contact me on 02 8765 2235.

Best Regards
