LIGHTING ON FIELD 1 UPDATE
UPDATE 4.4.16
We have had some delays due to equipment and weather however things are starting to look good.
This week has seen the flood light poles being installed and all wired up. Next week we hope to have the lights tested for the Lux reading we need to play senior games.
Once we have the go ahead and the field marked out we will be able to schedule Friday night games.
This has been a long road and we thank everyone for their patients. We look forward to announcing the first games.
UPDATE 11.4.16
Tuesday 12th April,construction begins for our new Floodlights on Field 1 with the Foundations for the Flood light poles being installed and possibly some excavations for Cabling
The trenching for the cabling is planned to be completed by the end of next week
The foundations for the poles need a week before the poles can be erected which are planned for installation before 22nd April
The planned finished date is Friday 29th April with subsequent handover and Home Friday night games commencing Friday 6th May latest
Training can still take place on Field 1 and we ask everyone to be mindful of any works that may be in progress
The removal of the old poles and lighting will take place at the end of the project so there should be a good transition between partially lit fields to full lighting across all of the field to competition standard
Special thanks to Senior Men and Senior Ladies for their patience in playing their games away but we all look forward to Friday night football at the club
