President's Message

Springfield United Football Club was founded in 2008, with a view to providing football for all ages and abilities within the growing Western Corridor of Brisbane. I am very pleased to report that the club has not just grown substantially; it has also maintained this core directive, which is essential to sustained success in this region.

By fielding teams ranging from 6 years old to 40 years old, Springfield United is well placed to deliver the code of football to a wide-ranging audience. Whatever your standard, whatever your age or gender, we will find a team for you to play in!

Results in 2018 were stellar, with one Grand Final win at U15 level, four Grand Final appearances in Divisionals (U12-U18) and Over 35 football, as well as nine semi-final appearances in total.

Whilst this is a definite measure of success, and one we are very proud of, all teams wore the blue of Springfield with pride and honour. Playing the game well is crucial, both on and off the field; I am proud to say that I frequently receive correspondence that praises our young players and their conduct at SUFC.

In 2019, we are looking to expand our horizons even further. Our Capital League Men's side and our City Women's side, in particular, are on the look out for new players, whilst we always welcome applications for membership for new and returning players.

We look forward to seeing you join up in 2019, whether you are a new member or an experienced campaigner!

We are united. We are Springfield United.

Scott Harding (President)

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
