Cats
Opposition: Nelson Bay Marlins
Stadium: Weeraman Field
Bounce: 13:00
Last time we met: Yet to play
The cats have come off two loses and will not be looking at keeping that streak alive. Another home game means another chance to record their first win at home this season. The cat faithful will be in for a great game on Saturday as the Cats look to claw their way back into the top 4. A lot of top players will be out this week but with the inclusion of a few guys coming off shift the squad should still be solid and hopefully strong enough to take on the might of the Marlins. Everyone knows that cats like to eat fish for dinner! A post match function will be held at the Muswellbrook Railway Hotel and all are welcome to attend.
What the Coach Says: “Pretty disappointed in Saturdays game, was expecting a better result and we were a little stale. Need to win this week and we have some quality players in Cameron Benkovic, Adam Higham, Adam Griffiths, Michael Duck and Jedd Stojakvic all out this week while also might have eight players out with injury so will be a difficult week. We do however gain Tom Payne and Jessy Besford as well as some others that have been missing for the last few weeks . This game is a must win and top do that we will need to regroup the team and get back on track with some hard work and dedication this week at training and on game day.”
Skippers words of wisdom: “We have to start producing for our fans, the crowd and the committee. We havnt won a home game this season and we need to change that”
Presidents Player in Focus: Jackson “Cooky” Cook. “Another promising player that has grown through the ranks of the Cats. Cookys really showing that consist footy we all knew he was capable of. He is a very versatile player which is a great asset to any team and coach.

Cat Fact 2410: Cats have three eyelids
The Junior Cats are enjoying a few weeks off due to the school holidays. They will spend this time working on their skills relaxing and getting ready for the season ahead. Upon return they will be ready to go out and smash the competition. Safe holidays kids.
