Senior Coaching News

Gisborne Soccer Club is delighted to announce Danny Ciantar as the coach of our Senior Men squad for 2018 and beyond.

Danny, who coached our U14 Boys in 2016, returns to the club after spending a year at NPL club St Albans Dianamo. He becomes our fourth Senior Men's coach and the second to coach both our seniors and juniors.

A Gisborne local, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having coached at both junior & senior level at various clubs for a number of years.

"Danny is the ideal coach as we move into an important phase as a club. We have exceptional talent on our senior list and we have exceptional talent coming through the junior ranks. Danny has coached some of these juniors already and his relationshio with them will make the intergration from junior to senior soccer a smoother process" said President Rodney Smith.

"I'm pleased to have been given the opportunity to not only coach the seniors but work with people throughout the entire club as we strive to improve our football, raise our club profile and chase promotion through the State Leagues" said Danny.

David Gunter & Anton McMurtrie will continue in their roles as assistants in the Senior Men squad.
