Season 2018 Begins With Hat Tricks

The 2018 season for the women, Metro men, juniors and Mini Roos began on Sunday with the usual mix of results - a bit of everything in terms of wins, losses and draws.

Highlights for the club included hat tricks by six players.  Indeed Under 12 Boys Quincy Kemp and Kensuke Furukawa scored 4 each.  Three goals were scored by Stefan Fanzo in the Men's Metro 5 team, Leo Johnson in the Under 18 Boys, Ella Rodger in the Under 16 Girls and Chiara Hamilton in the Under 12 Girls.

Not surprisingly the club's best results came in the matches featuring those hat trick heroes.

Highest scorers were the Under 12 Boys smashing it with a 9-nil win over Greenvale.

The Metro Men celebrated their promotion up to Division 5 with a 5-2 win over Hoppers Crossing, the 18 Boys managed a 3-all draw with Essendon United fighting it out with only 11 (very tired players), the Under 16 Girls enjoyed a 5-2 win over Spring Hills.

On the women's side the State 4 women came up with a successful season start with a 2-1 win against Glen Waverley.
