Over 35's Tigers win 2018 Grand Final

2018 has seen TFFC enjoy tremendous competitive success - in the 12's our Gold team finished the season as Premiers, then fell one hurdle short of the Grand Final. They've qualified for the Champion of Champions tournament in October. Our two 13's teams finished second (Black) and third (Gold) on the table, with Gold making the Grand Final. We didn't enter 14's, but put two teams in the 15's, claiming the Premiership (Black) and finishing third (Gold). Black also fell one step short of the Grand Final, but will also represent the Club at Champion of Champions. Both our 16's teams made the semis of their division, and Black went on to win the Grand Final 3-0 against Great Lakes Vikings. The 18's Grand Final saw both teams from our club play off for the title, Black beating Gold 4-2. Our women's Southern League enjoyed an undefeated season, and added the title of Champions to their Premiership when they defeated arch rivals Cundletown in a Grand Final penalty shootout. Our Men's Southern League made the finals, with the highlight being a penalty shootout win away in front of a parochial home crowd at Great Lakes United. There was no shame in their exit at the hands of reigning Champions Wallamba the following week. Our Premier League finished a creditable seventh after a huge player turnover at the end of 2017, and our 35's are still celebrating adding to the club's Championship tally in 2018 having defeated Pacific Palms 1-0 in last Friday night's decider.
