2014 Kelowna Cup

The Calgary Kookaburras made the trek to Kelowna this past weekend for the annual Kelowna Cup. Each year teams from Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver get together for a highly contested tournament.

After losing the cup last year to the Edmonton Emus, the Kookaburras felt they had something to prove. The team came in stronger and more determined then ever before. In the first match against Edmonton the ladies banded together and came out with an impressive win over the defending champs. Up next were the Vancouver Wildcats, a young team with some extremely promising talent. The second game highlighted the skills of a lot of the new Kookas and again the girls were able to pull out a victory.

Congratulations to the Kookaburras on an impressive win at the 2014 Kelowna Cup! What a great start to the season. Keep up the hard work!
