MASTERS MATTERS 6TH FEB 2018

Brothers and Sisters of the Sherrin,

I hope all are enjoying life and sorry for the lack of information coming out recently we had a major computer crash then the NBN went down and ended up with the mother of all cluster ups if you know what I mean. We are getting back on line gradually improving as each problem is identified and resolved. Anyway let’s get down to business and what is happening and what needs to happen.

Cairns:

This is on the 17th of February which is just under 2 weeks away. We are still looking for players so let me know if you can go. If transport is an issue let me know that and will see if we can match you up with someone. It is important we get as many as we can up there to support our Cairns brothers. If you can play can you help out? Volunteers are welcome and encouraged.

Registrations:

Everyone needs to get registered and now. Not only you can’t play if not registered but also train. Did you know that, it is part of life now so get used to it. The only way you can get registered is online. Paper does not cut it anymore. Links have been sent out so if you are still having troubles let us know so it can be chased. If you are registered with a club that is fine but let them know you want to play Masters and we will get permits to cover you. If you are injured the claim will go back onto the club insurance. It’s the way it works or so I am told.

Training:

Down at the Tigers this Sunday at 10am followed by the usual. Get down early so we can start on time. Does anyone want to assist with the coaching? Put your hand up and give it a try you might like it. Don’t want to do the full job fine what about a conditioning coaching role. All important in the program so give it some thought and let us know before Sunday.

Umpiring:

The local League is short of umpires what can you do to help? You can cover the boundary if you don’t want the hassle of the field role. Getting on in years then perhaps the goals might be the spot for you? You are never too old to get involved, let us know what you can/want to do to assist we can put you in touch with the right people.

Your Say:

Where do you see our game going over the next 5-10 years. Have you got any bright ideas? Why not share them and see what merit is in them this could be the start of something big and you could be the one to make it happen. Drop us a line, happy to catch up and discuss to see where it can be taken.

Club Gear:

Guys we have plenty of shirts, singlets, shorts ect have you got a new one yet. Come down Sunday with the credit card and we can fix you up. You will be the best dressed footballer in town. All going to Cairns should have the new uniform to take. It shows pride in your team and town so don’t be shy see us on Sunday.

That is about it for now Legends, keep living the dream and talk to you soon.

Kind Regards

Mozza
