Brothers and Sisters of the Sherrin,

What another one I hear you say. Well yes I stuffed up on the last one and additional details have come to light.

Charters Towers Training Run:

Just hold onto your hats it turns out the junior cricket guys are using the field that day so will need to push back. I am waiting on a reply before committing but will let you know as soon as I know. But it is off on the 2nd.

Whitsunday Masters Tropical Cup:

I have attached a flyer so have a read and see if you can get down there. It is always a top weekend. Guys I will be there with bells on and hope to catch up with everyone.

Queens Baton Relay:

I should have put this in yesterday but we have 3 from the Masters nominated for the Queens Commonwealth Games Batten Relay. They are Andy, Denise and Jonny. Well done guys I do hope this materialises into  carrying the baton. Well done to all.

Queensland Country Championships:

Guys we are looking for members that can look after our visitors for one night or 2 for the carnival on the 30th April? Accommodation is in short supply so if you can look after one or two would be great. Can you let me know.

Brothers and Sisters of the Sherrin,

I hope this note finds you all well and enjoying life. This is an exciting time of the year with the season about to kick off and the first game on Thursday in the National League. Closer to home with have the local competition starting on Saturday. To all teams we do wish you the very best for the year and hope you experience many wins.

What a day yesterday was with our annual preseason game against the Swans. Great bunch of guys and a really good hit out for everyone. Not sure what the score was in the end but really appreciate the way they approach their footy. This year looks to be a tough one for numbers with 3RAR on standby so let's reach out and ask is there anyone considering playing you will find a spot.  We also had our fund raiser for Martin in Cairns and thanks to Julie and her team of ladies $300 was raised. We will arrange to have that set up during the week well done guys. On a sad note we are losing one of our members Mark Cooper (Coops) who is heading to Western Australia with his family. Yesterday was his last hit out with us and despite Donnas trying to modify his face he played to his usual brilliant best. We will miss you mate so stay in touch and all the very best. Thanks to Starkey for his umpire duties and the water boys for their great work.

   Training Next Sunday:

Training next Sunday at 10 down at the Tigers. I believe the Towers boys are coming down so let's turn out in numbers to welcome our brothers from the top of the hill. We will end up with a game so everyone is needed.

The Whitsunday boys are taking noms and payment for the Bali nines in June. So if you are thinking of going get onto Shane Bartlett straight away. I believe it is $150 for past players and $200 for newbies.

Training in the Towers: TO BE CONFIRMED.

We are looking at a run up to the Towers to do a Sunday training run there. If you can go can you let me know and if you need a lift or not?? The tentative date is April 2nd at this point.

Whitsunday Tropical Cup 12 a Side:

This is fast approaching being held over 2 days (Saturday 15/4 and Sunday 16/4) with teams sorted at the Bowls club on the Friday night. Jack can you send a flyer down and I will get it out. Sparrow is also coming up from Brisbane to do a umpires accreditation course. Quite simple get online do the questionnaire and sparrow will do a practical. Then we can have umpires that are accredited and take another risk issue away. Give it some thought!!

Well that’s about it for now legends keep living the dream and talk soon.
