Brothers and Sisters of the Sherrin,

I hope all are well and enjoying life. Well things certainly have gotten busy lately having just returned from Cairns and our annual trip to catch up with our brothers in the far north. Cairns were too good for us on the day but it was a spirited game with plenty of body on the line. I have to congratulate Gavin and his team for putting on such a great day and thanks to the Tigers for their support. I think I saw a little tear in Nev's eye as it was a bit of a home coming for him. We ended up with players from Charters Towers, Mount Isa, Whitsunday's, Townsville and of course the local Cairn's guys. The rain held off the ground was a picture and the big news Rod's best on ground performance well done to him and all the other award winners.

Now our next major event is the Whitsunday tropical Cup over Easter. If you have not booked accommodation best get straight onto it everything is filling fast. I will get Shane to send up a flyer and get out to you but the basic format is arrived Friday Afternoon for team selection at the Bowls club Friday night (drinks and dinner) Games Saturday (Meal at Pub that night) and finals Sunday morning. It would be good to show our support in numbers. Any problems give me a call.

Training is on as usual this Sunday at the Tigers ground at 10 but get there by 9.30. The following Sunday we have a scratch match with the Swans and the weekend after that the Towers boys are coming down to join training and our usual match program. Our big event is on the 30th April so lock that one away with the expectation of a good turn up.

Guys just a timely reminder football can be dangerous so make sure you have your own insurance if you need this cover. The JLT one the club has is primarily a Liability cover with a small medical component which you would not want to rely on. Your best insurance is to be as fit as you can be but after that seek advice.

Have you had your blood pressure checked lately??? this week's reminder, most local chemist will do this for free so drop into one that can and have it checked.

Well I have to head off to more meetings you keep well and talk soon legends.  P.S Team photo attached for those that want a copy!!!
