G'day Moz
Re our discussion today about 'The Long Ride 2014', an activity to raise awareness in men's health issues and money for PCFA (Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia). It is a national motorcycle activity where riders travel routes to a common destination. This year we are riding to Uluru - a round trip of approx. 6 500k's.
De and I have organised a Nth QLD group of 9 registered riders and a support crew of 6 x soldiers from 5th Aviation Regiment, RAAF Townsville. We are travelling from Townsville on Sun 28 Sep to Winton, then Charleville, Bourke, Broken Hill, Port Augusta, Coober Pedy and arriving at Uluru on Sat 4 Oct. Our route home is Alice Springs, 3 Ways, Mt Isa, Hughenden and Townsville. There will be approx. 350 riders at the Rock on that Sat.
As you know, I am a survivor of this mongrel thing so it is very close to De and my hearts. The Masters footballers are target audience for this so feel free to forward this to whomever you feel. I am also happy to talk to the Masters about my journey if you, or the members, feel there is a place for that.
Our donation area is an EverydayHero webpage which I have attached.
