MASTERS MATTERS 18TH APRIL 2018
Brothers and sisters of the Sherrin,
Welcome to another week of footy and I hope your team is doing well. I like so many was surprised with the Collingwood vs Crows game. I did not see that coming but that is footy. We have a couple of important items coming up so let’s get into it.
Training is on this Sunday at the Tigers at 10. Great turn out last week but the more we get there the better the program that can be applied. If you are carrying an injury still come down you are still part of the team, we need to see how you are traveling and any support is very much welcomed. Jonny came down and ran the water which was really appreciated. On that note it was his birthday yesterday and the child bride and I got to catch up with him and Shez last night. Happy birthday Jonny and thanks for all the work you do for the Masters.
Queensland Country Championships are on at the Tigers Ground on the 6th May. In the next week we will get a program out to you. Can everyone that wants to play let us know. We need to arrange catering. We will have a canteen going, bar which will be staffed, dinner and entertainment not to mention the footy. All are welcome so if you want to travel up for the long weekend you will be looked after. It’s all about having fun. I don’t care who wins or loses just that everyone ends the day safe and enjoys themselves. That is what Masters is about.
Battle of Midway 3: It’s on in Richmond on May 26th. I will get a copy of Teds flyer and get it out again another top weekend. If you haven’t been you need to do this at least once. Again either let ted or myself know so we can coordinate numbers.
Our Number one secretary Anne is not well and has been in hospital. Speaking to Nev the other night and they were hopeful she might be able to come home soon but recovery is some time off. From all the Masters to our Life member Anne we wish you a speedy recovery and if there is anything we can do you let us know.
Chris Mohrwinkel's birthday party on Saturday and well attended. I believe more than a few liberations were consumed and a couple of sore heads at training the next day but credit to all they still turned up Well done on your 50th. (I wish I was 50 again, can’t even remember what it was like!)
That is it for now Legends keep living the dream and talk soon.
