Brothers and Sisters of the Sherrin,

I hope this note finds you well and all excited with the long weekend coming up. Whatever you are doing stay safe and look after each other. For us in North Queensland we have the Whitsunday tropical Cup in Airlie Beach which is one of the most enjoyable weekends of footie you can have. Not only is it a great location but the team format brings it back to basics and you get to play with guys you normally would not. We are still looking for players so if you can make it down be at the ground by 3 tomorrow for the charity walk or at the bowls club by 5 for registration, team selection, dinner and drinks. Then there is a full day at the ground Saturday with the rest of the weekend to do what you want. To add to the program this event is part of the North Queensland Games with the CEO of the Foundation coming down to present awards at the end of the competition. Don’t be shy get there and if you need to know anything else give me a call.

Training is off this weekend but all back to normal the following Sunday. Tigers ground at 10am

What about the GC Suns Vs North Melbourne game in Cairns. I have to say it was one of the best water polo matches I have seen but with the Suns having a natural advantage with water sports took the honours on the day. My hat has to go off to the 3000 or so spectators who stood in that rain to watch the game and their only concern was getting water in their beer. Now how tough is that.

Have you got the latest on accommodation for the Nationals. If not let me know and I can forward on to you. Have you got online to register yet? We will have the computer down at Airlie to assist and if you need to pay we will have credit card faculties available. This is an important part of the program so please get on board and make it easier for the volunteers.

The Queens Baton Relay was a great turn out with a couple of our special masters involved. John Finn looked as proud as a new father and Jonny Freeman took a week to get the smile off his face. We done guys you have done us all proud.

Our next big event is the Queensland Country Championship to be held at Neil French Oval on May the 6th which is the Sunday of the long weekend. Can you let me know if you are available. The Cairns guys will have a side, how are the Airlie guys going. Do the Mount Isa boys want to put a barbarian team together? In Townsville it is a regular weekend of footy so keep that in mind.

Well that is it for now Legends keep living the dream and talk soon.

Kind Regards
