A new look for Wembley Junior Basketball Club

Over the past few months the Committee has been working hard to find a new supplier for our basketball uniforms.

At the same time the Committee decided it was time to refresh the branding of the club logo, uniform and apparel. While the old look has served us well we felt we were due for an update.

I am happy to say that the new designs are in and we are very pleased with the refreshed look and the quality of the new uniforms is great.

 New uniform, white and navy

Team Managers will be discussing the rollout of the uniform with teams.

In the design you will notice that along with the traditional Wembley white and navy colours we have introduced a splash of orange to liven things up.

We've retained the base white on our standard singlet but also incorporated a reversible alternate navy singlet design. Effectively two singlets in one. This will remove the need for clash tops when Wembley teams meet each other.

The designs also include a new Wembley logo with reference to our Yarraville home base, a 'W' basketball logo on the shorts, the established year and a triangle pattern on the front and back of the singlets. Also a new softer material is being used and a hidden design element recognising our Opals Olympic hero Rachel Jarry!!!!

We will transition to the new uniforms over the 2016/17 Summer season and all teams will need to be fully changed over by the start of the 2017 Winter season.

Now obviously there is a cost to the change over.

To help with the changeover the club will partially subsidise the the cost for existing players. The price of the new uniform (singlet and shorts) for the changeover will be $50.

The regular cost of the uniform is $90 and will remain so for new players and will revert once the changeover has occurred.
