Grand Finals set for Dingos Indoor

Week 3 has come and gone in the 2nd Annual Dingos Indoor Winter Competition (quite the mouthful), and the Grand Finals matchup has been set with TEAM OB squaring off against the perfect 3-0 TEAM SHAUNY. The Consolation Final will therefore see TEAM TB face TEAM SPIDER, both of whom lost their Week 3 matchups and will settle old scores this week.

With Team Shauny sitting on a 2-0 record, it came down to Team OB vs Team Spider (both at 1-1) to decide the second GF team. With much of the play coming through the middle, a fantastic battle between Jimmy (fresh off vacation) and Pat Bossey developed over the course of the game, as the two now-and-future stars put their DCC-honed fitness to the test.

Unfortunately, after a strong start in the first half, the wheels fell off the wagon for Team Spider after yet another questional performance from a (ahem) less-than-suitable Full Back selection, handing the momentum back to Team OB who pulled out a gutsy 4th-quarter victory.

TEAM TB
(Mick, Tom Bell, Fitzy, Rick, Yoni, Alvin, Pat O'Shea)

vs.

TEAM SHAUNY
(Shauny, Tinks, Kyle, Stewy, Bob, Mal, Pickers)

TEAM NAME TOTAL
TEAM TB 2.4-16
TEAM SHAUNY 9.15-69

With a chip on their shoulder, Team TB came into Week 3 determined to have a better showing (not too mention a deeper lineup), but the depth and speed of Team Shauny proved to be too much to handle - even before they picked up Stewy.

The fun-and-games came to a momentary halt when Tinks came down from a mark and twisted his knee (which gave yours truly a few bad flashbacks) - while the injury didn't look to serious, one can never be too cautious, so all the best to Mr. Tinkler with the hopes that all will be well.
