Although both are deeply involved in Coaching, with David at Vermont for past 6 years and Peter with Casey and now Old Scotch, they had never drawn clipboards in anger against each other.  Although this game was hardly a normal contest for four points with both Clubs using lots of different players in different spots, Peter Banfield would have been just that bit more content when the boys from Scotch took the game by about  20 points.  The Pakenham ground was sensational, and we thank the Pakenham Football Club for their generosity. But that cross wind was a shocker and it certainly reduced the spectacle of what was a very fast and physical encounter.

Hopefully games gainst Old Scotch will be a permanent fixture in the future.  The "Banfield Cup" may need to be created.

Vermont will have the pleasure of playing at Pakenham again this Sunday when we take on Pakenham Football Club.
