The Mitcham Football Club completed our 2nd lot of practise matches of the pre season over the weekend and with a number of regular senior players missing the early preseason signs are promising
The Under 19s had a good hit out against a very strong Division 1 Noble Park outfit on Friday night under lights @ Noble Park. The ground was in excellent condition but unfortunately the weather wasn’t so kind, although a number of the Mitcham faithful did enjoy the game in the social club. While The Mitcham boys were missing a few and Noble had an extended bench, both coaches would have got plenty out the game and the signs looked good for both clubs. With NO scoreboard running we had the score around 66 to 28 with Noble finishing over the top of the young Tigers by games end. BIG THANK you to The Noble Park Football Club for their hospitality and good luck for the season
The Seniors and Reserves travelled down to Hampton Park on Saturday, with quite a few regular Seniors players unavailable and the Coach also not playing, our depth was tested as the Reserves went down by 3 goals.
The Seniors on the other hand had a solid hit out winning by a round 10 goals with a number of our new recruits shinning. BIG THANK YOU to Hampton Park Footy Club for their hospitality and good luck for the season proper.
We now head into the Easter break to freshen up and have our final Pre Season hit out against Park Orchards @ home on Saturday the 2nd of April. We will also have the merchandise tent set up selling memberships and apparel PLUS all our members that have purchased packages on line can pick up their membership cards, Stubby holders and polo shirts depending on what package you have purchased. Make sure you keep checking The Mitcham FC website and face book feeds for regular updates ‪#strongandbold‬
