The 12th round of the 2013 winter league brought a rare combined result for Maori Hill JFC, with all seven of our competitive grade teams emerging victorious from their games.

Maori Hill 11th Red picked up its 10th win from 11 games with a 4-0 victory over Mosgiel to stay in touch with the league leaders in Section 2 of 11th Grade.

In Twelfth Grade Maori Hill 12th Red went top of the table in Section One after beating Grants Brae 5-0. In Section Two, Maori Hill 12th White secured its fourth win of the season (2-0 over Northern), and our all-girls Maori Hill 12th Silver team picked up their 3rd win of 2013, downing Mosgiel 3-2 in a close-fought game.

Meanwhile, Maori Hill 13th Black stayed top of table in 13th Grade Section 2 with a 5-1 win over Mosgiel. Maori Hill 14th Gold kept in the title hunt for 14th grade thanks to a 3-1 win over Grants Brae, and Maori Hill 15th Gold came from behind to beat Dunedin Technical White 3-2.

Our all-girls 11th Crimson team had a bye.

Maori Hill Club Captain David Thomson says this is the first time he can recall in recent seasons that the club’s competitive grade teams have taken a clean sweep of victories in a weekend of football competition.
