Upwey have secured themselves 5th spot and put Wandin in the hot seat and fighting for outright 3rd on the ladder with only two games to go after a hard fought 18-point win. Upwey got the jump on them in the first term kicking 6.4 to 3.2 and claiming a 20-point lead at quarter time. Wandin rebounded in the second quarter kicking 4.1 to 3.3 and reduced the margin to 16 points at half time. Upwey came out with a new purpose in the third term and kicked four goals to two to give themselves some breathing space going into the last. Wandin found their second wind and outscored Upwey kicking 5.1 to 3.2 but they left their run too late in the end.

Wandin are one win clear in 2nd spot on the ladder after a convincing win over 7th placed Upwey. Wandin made their intentions known in the first term shooting 21 goals to five. They continued with the same intensity shooting 25 goals to eight in the second quarter and their lead was 33 goals at half time. Their consistency was impressive as they shot another 21 goals to four in the third term. Another solid last quarter with 24 goals and the win was Wandin’s.
