Trainers Course

COURSE  CONTENT

ROLE OF TRAINER:

Safety, injury prevention, injury management, rules and regulations pertaining to trainers.

RESPONSIBILITY OF TRAINER:

Communication and relationships, record keep-ing, referrals to healthcare specialists, first aid equipment, first aid facilities, legal responsibili-ties. 

MEDICAL CONDITIONS:

Asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, heart conditions, stoke, ear, nose and eye injuries, teeth and jaw, allergic reactions. 

TAPING: 

Ankles, fingers, hands/ wrist, knees (ligaments) 

All participants will be given a complimentary box of tape and medical supplies from Victor Sports valued at $30. this material is for use in the course.

VENUE:  Hastings Community Hub 

1973 Frankston-Flinders Road, Hastings 

TIME:   8.30am—5.30pm

COST: $140 (inc.GST) per participant - the SJFC will reimburse club Trainers

(includes Victor Sports Tape Box for use in course) AFL  Vic country rebate of $75 already deducted– session fee $215 for non AFL Vic Country affiliates. 

PREREQUISITE:

Current first aid certificate needs to be sighted to be receive AFL Victoria      Country Trainer accreditation.. 

Note– you can undertake your first aid certificate after you have completed this course.
