ISSUE 14 - 21/08/16

Football: After an indifferent first half last week in windy conditions our senior boys ran out 14.21.105 to 4.2.26 winners over the Hamilton Kangaroos. Will Couch bagged 5 goals while Chris McLaren continued his great form along with Isaac Templeton and Brett Harrington. This week we take on Portland and we will need a four quarter effort to get a win having been beaten by the Tigers earlier in the year. Our reserves boys have the opportunity to finish with a win which would be a great reward in a season where they have hung tough but been badly affected through the injuries we have had. Last week the reserves were in the game for a long time before going down by 30 points with Lachie Barling, Matt Webster and Will Templeton our best. The U/18 boys went down ending their finals aspirations with Chatfield, Abrahams and Heaysman playing well. All the best to all of our sides this week and we encourage everyone to get along and support our senior boys in their finals campaign.

Netball:With all four senior netball sides certainties to finish in the top three and the Under 13 and 15 girls also guaranteed finals action it will be an exciting finals time for our club. Last week our Open girls ran out 50 to 27 winners with Emily Batt, Carly Pulling and Kasey Owen our best. The Division One girls won comfortably 42 to 24 with Mahony, Dobson and Roache playing well. In Division Two Hamilton ran out 42 to 24 winners with the best players for the Saints being Grayland, McDonald and Wallace. The Division Three girls won by 5 goals and were best served by O’Rourke, Webster and Morris. The U/17 girls went down with Gow, McDonald and Hausler the best three. In the U/15’s we got home by 4 goals with Quinn, Moloney and Quarrell the best. The U/13 girls won easily and Holley, McInerney and Brown played well. Good luck to all of our netball sides this week.

SOCIAL: The senior club presentation night has been set for Thursday 29th September from 6.00pm at our clubrooms.
