Inverleigh Too Big Too Experienced

Centrals first game for season 2018 at home on Civilex Oval was against Inverleigh who everyone is predicting will win the flag in the GDFL this year. They lined up against Centrals with much more experience and size but you never know with youth. This week at Civilex Oval

Well first up wins under our belt in the senior footy and A Grade netball against quality opposition was a good start for our young group. The Colts had a win in their first grading game as well. Club Supports Blue Ribbon Foundation

It was with great pleasure that our president Ed Cachia was last week able to present The Blue Ribbon Foundation (Westgate Branch) with a cheque for $2000, following a fundraiser in late 2017.

It was a reflective moment for all present, considering yesterday was the 32nd Anniversary of the Russel St Bombing in which Constable Angela Taylor tragically lost her life.

Final Practice Match a Success Against Wyndham Vale

Footy Practise matches are over as we ready ourselves for the new season commencing on 6th April with the first game against East Geelong at East. First home game will be against Inverleigh at Galvin (Civilex Oval ) the week after. Look forward to seeing everyone there in what looks like a being a very competitive year.

Butcher Club Partners Club in 2018

Congratulations to Brad Sloan and The Butcher Club group for opening two new stores in Geelong. The stores are in the Corio Shopping Village and the Newcomb Shopping Centre and will allow our friends in Geelong to be able to taste the difference of Butcher Club meats, poultry and seafood all in one place as we do and have done at all our home games. In the 18 years from the return to one division in 1996 until 2013, the Centurions were part of post-season action on 14 occasions.

Jackson Smith Joins Centrals

Werribee Centrals are happy to announce the signing of Jackson Smith for the 2018 season.

Jackson played TAC Cup football with both The Calder Canons and The Northern Knights during his U16 & U18 years. In 2016 he played Division 3 football with Mt Waverley, with the year ending with a Grand Final win.

Werribee Centrals is excited to announce the signing of 6”8 (203cm) 26 year old ruckmen Brayden Sneddon.

With senior experience at Hoppers Crossing, Ocean Grove and Melton under his belt Brayden is returning to footy after a two year lay-off.

After spending 2017 split between Div 1 WRFL team Wyndhamvale and Development League footy with the Werribee VFL side,

Centrals Announce New Coach

Werribee Centrals Sports and Youth Club are proud to announce the appointment of Nick Smith as our new Senior Coach.

Nick is a former player, playing in the 1999, 2000 & 2001 premierships for Centrals with coaching stints under Gary Ayres at Port Melbourne VFL & the Western Jets.

Nick also coached Mt Waverley to an undefeated season in 2016 winning the Premiership.more
