Bloods Banter: Post Grand Final

Well, this is it. The final Bloods Banter for 2018.

Unfortunately the result didn’t go our way on Saturday, with the Bloods falling an agonisingly two points short in the Grand Final. However, we are very proud of the boys for getting to the last game of the season. All our supporters would agree that the lads have given us a great ride in the second half of the season with 9 wins in a row and some excellent footy played along the way. With a young team and the majority of players recommitted for 2019 the future looks promising.

We’ll gather at Tabcorp Park Melton on Thursday 27th September for our 2018 Presentation Night. With just under 200 people set to attend, it will be a huge night. Bookings have closed and we look forward to catching up with the Bloods faithful there on Thursday. Visit our facebook page on Thursday night, and website over the weekend for all the award winners.

Our last social event for 2018 will be our Hypnotist Night to be held at MacPherson Park on Saturday October 13th. We will of course need some volunteers to ‘go under’ and provide the entertainment. Tickets are $45 and can be organised through Hursty or Nabby.

The date for the AGM has been set for Wednesday November 21st at the clubrooms. Please keep the date free and consider jumping on board the committee as there is always plenty of work to be done. If you want to have a chat about a possible role, please see someone on the committee and discuss options. All welcome.

Pre-Season training won’t be all that far away either. Keep your eye on the website for training details once they have been worked out. As always, new players are most welcome to come down and have a look.

We thank our 2018 sponsors for their support, and look forward to their recommitment for the 2019 season. We also look forward to welcoming any new sponsors who want to “Jump on Board”. Sponsorship plays a vital part in helping get our football and netball teams going every season. Brian McNabb can help with all sponsorship enquiries on 0418536489. To all members of the Bloods family, please support our sponsors where you can and let them know that you’re from the club.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
