Reserves Coach - Matthew Gunn
The Melton FNC are pleased to announce that Matthew Gunn has been appointed Reserves Coach for the 2017 season.
'Gunny' has a long history at the Bloods. His standout season was 2015 when he won the George King Medal for best player in the BFL reserves. After 140 games at the club played over a decade, and approaching 30 years of age, he decided to test himself at a lowel level and made the move to play Div 2 footy at Caroline Springs in the WRFL for the 2016 season. But he’s returned home and is excited by the challenge of coaching our Reserves team.
Football Operations Manager Brad Jamison is pleased to have been able to finalise the coaching panel for 2017 with the appointment of Gunn as Reserves coach. “Matt has a lot of passion for footy, but more importantly a lot of love for the Melton Football Club. He was very keen to put his hand up and take on the role and we’re thrilled to be able to give him the opportunity to Coach for the first time. Reserves footy is about players having fun, but it’s also about developing our next generation of senior players and I think Matt will get the balance spot on”.
