Best of the Best

Sharks M1 have taken back the NQ Regional Champions tag they won in 2017, following a comprehensive 10-3 victory over Cairns.

Disposing of the Tvl 18s and Mt Isa, before succumbing to a late touchdown to allow Cairns to steal top spot in the rounds, the boys in blue and black upped the ante in their semi against rivals Redskins to move into the money game looking to revenge the previous days loss.

It was a clinical Sharks outfit that could do no wrong in the opening stanza; blowing out to a 7-0 half time lead in the money game; before arguably taking their foot off Cairns’ throat in the second.

After upset losses in TCHTA rounds prior to the championships, Sharks sent an ominous warning to their rivals that the reigning premiers deserve to be competition favorites for a reason!

Well done to all the Sharks boys – and with no less than 5 of the M1 side that took out the championships under 18 years of age, the future for Sharks looks very bright indeed!
