The Run Home

The business end of the season is already upon. Take a look below for a quick look as our footballers and netballers sprint for the 2015 finals series.

Games to come: Tally, Rushy and Ardmona

Under 15s (7-4-1, 121.85%, 46pts)

The youngest team of our club keep on improving each week, they’ve notched up a finals spot for season 2015 and have a big game against Tally this weekend! A lot of improvement from the girls from the beginning of the season!

Under 17s 3rd (12-2, 171.27%, 60pts)

A catch up game with Nagambie last Monday night showed plenty of promise from our Under 17 girls. Although a 12 goal loss, it was a considerable improvement form last time the two sides met. Only 0.5% split 2nd and 3rd at the moment, so plenty on the line for the girls in the last 3 weeks.

C Grade 8th (7-8, 94.06%, 36pts)

Only 1 win out of the top 6 for the C Grade girls, the season isn’t over yet! Injuries have hurt C grade a lot this year, with personal changes also throughout the season it’s always a struggle! But the girls keep playing and improving, keep at it girls – dare to dream!

B Grade 7th (7-8, 100.75%, 36pts)

B Grade season has also ebbed and flowed from week to week, but when the girls get going they’re very hard to stop! Definitely not out of the finals race just yet, Just 2 points out of the top 6! They take on 4th placed Tally which isn’t beyond them, with 2 winnable ones to finish off with.

A Grade 5th (9-5-1, 46pts, 122%)

An up and down season for the A Graders has steadied in the second half of the season, with some injured players returning to the fold Kerrie’s girls continue to build towards the finals. Pushed the undefeated Avenel a couple of weeks ago, and another big game against Tally to figure out finals match ups

Thirds 5th (9-5, 48pts, 146%)

After only a handful of wins in 2014, this year Deano has his boys in the top 6 and playing well. They’ve locked up a position in finals, now it’s just down to who they play. They’ve matched it with teams around them on the ladder, a highlight this year was knocking off 3rd place Avenel a man down a few weeks ago. Another big game against Tally this week will shape the finals set up.

Reserves 3rd (13-2, 60pts, 340%)

The Reserves side continues along with some good wins in the second half of the year. Although personnel has continued to change through injury etc., the team has continued strongly. A double chance isn’t out of question, if the boys come home with 3 wins with a bit of percentage and Lanky defeat Merrigum in the last round second place is theirs.

Seniors 4th (11-4, 52pts, 175%)

After a solid 6 weeks and defeating other potential finalists, the Senior boys are sitting in 4th position only by %age. With the games coming up, a 3rd place finish isn’t out of reach. Injuries and unavailability have tested the side at different stages but they’ve come through with the goods.
