Want to be the face of SMJFL? Get involved in MEDIA DAY 2017!

The SMJFL is excited to host a Media Day for the first time in 2017.

Based on successful formats used in other local and international sporting organisations, the SMJFL is keen to capture the faces and voices of the members and volunteers that make up the league.

SMJFL are seeking enthusiastic participants from a diverse range of ages and cultural backgrounds. All 26 clubs are to be represented so there is plenty of room for a large number of participants!

  • If you (or your junior player) are great at being in photos, posing, action shots – WE WANT YOU!
  • If you (or someone you know) want to feature in interviews and videos to help promote the league –  WE WANT YOU!
  • If you are a volunteer on a club committee, coaching on match-day or an umpire that wants to be recognised – WE WANT YOU!

Any players from all clubs welcome! Additionally, to capture the commitment and passion that goes into running the league, SMJFL extends an invitation for all club officialsmatch-day volunteers and umpires to attend. Your voice and representation in creative projects – both digital and print – is essential to recognising the huge volunteer work-force in junior football.

Event Details: 

When: Tuesday 4 April, 2017 (in school holidays!) 

Time: 10am-4pm – you will be provided with a specific scheduled time, you will not be required for the whole day. 

Where: Centenary Park – St Peters FC, 140 Brady Rd, Bentleigh East VIC 3165

Working with league partner Red Onion Creative to capture content (photos and videos) which will be used during the year, for specific campaigns, recognition rounds, events and functions. There will be multiple ‘stations’ for video and photography scenes. Attendees will be given certain scheduled times to ensure participants aren’t required for a full day.

Away from the bright lights of the filming there will be footy clinics running, and heaps of space for a kick-to-kick. Light catering will be provided.
