Youth Grade Outcome - HSA

Thank you to all Clubs that attended the HSA Board meeting on Tuesday to discuss Youth Grade and finalise the decision on what night these midweek games would be played.
It was always going to be difficult to get to an agreement that satisfied everyone, but in the end, the night chosen to host these games is Wednesday.
The rationale behind this decision if you have feedback from Club members was this:
1. Maintaining the strength of the Youth Grade competition - If games had been played on Friday the competition would have lost at a minimum two teams. While other nights impacted Clubs' training and also made set up for the weekend more onerous it did not definitely result in the loss of teams.
2. Referees coverage and welfare - Wednesday night was deemed a night where it would be likely that more referees would make themselves available for matches as opposed to Friday. The welfare of Referees was also considered, having rest days in between Youth Grade games and the weekend where they could be refereeing up to four games was seen as important
3. Player welfare - If Youth Grade players were going to back up in All Age for the weekend games then the rest between Wednesday and Saturday was seen as beneficial to the players
We will work with Clubs that have traditionally trained on Wednesdays, so as not to impact this too much.
We have Council commencing an audit of the lighting of fields and been advised that the remedial work should be carried out close to the start season. Once this has been completed we will then conduct Lux tests at the grounds.
All Age Registrations Chev / St Pauls
As discussed with Clubs earlier in the year,  Youth Grade boys that play for Chev and St Pauls are permitted to register and play for one other HSA Club in the All Age competition.
To do this Clubs will have to set up another registration package called eg (Youth Grade - School U16/17 and Youth Grade School U18)
You need to select the following fees when setting up the package:
FFA Fees
Sth Branch Fees
You are not required to include any HSA fees as these have already been billed to the school.
Therefore your registration packages for the U16-17 and U18 are $39.87 and $47.38 respectively, plus whatever fee the Club wishes to add on for Administration / Operation costs.
If you have any questions about any of the above please let me know
