Game 2 Report

BREAKING NEWS!!!! We will be training this Thursday 6pm at Ray Blank Park, Maidstone Rd.

Match Report:

Well, we had a decent first quarter and pulled things together in the fourth but unfortunately we leaked far too many points through the middle of the game.
The Blues were slick through the middle and did a good job of confusing our defence. We also fluffed some great chances to score.
All in all a disappointing result, but it wasn't all bad and we showed some great fight in the final quarter.
We need to solid turnout to training on Thursday if we are to pick ourselves up for the game of the round against everyone's favourite enemy.

Eagles:      10.6.66      (Goals - Behinds - Total for the uninitiated)
Blues:      15.19.109

Highlights:
The return of the brothers Carden.
Richie continuing to take marks with reckless abandon.
Robles flying through the air with the greatest of ease.
Ahi scoring an amazing goal with a snap shot from a very shallow angle.
Not having to take anyone to hospital.

Lowlights:
Defensive un-coordination and getting pummelled through the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

Dick of the Day:
Dillon and Jorn

Player of the day:
Josh Robles

Social Report:
Great turnout to Eagles BYO and pleasing to see Jacko Whitehead there despite him not being at the game! Gav made an appearance and the WAGs were in attendance as well. Jnr Carden rocked up with some welcome Waikato Draughts and a good night was had by all.

The Other Result:
Bulldogs: 10.20.80
Cougars:    2.4.16

Next Game:

Venue: Northwood Park
Opposition: Bulldogs
Kick-off: 12:30
Be there: 11:30
Attitude: Rampant - striking down with great vengeance and furious anger

Facebook:
Since we're so freaking exclusive, apparently you need someone who is already a member to invite you into the group. Actually, I believe this is so we can abuse the shit out of the other teams in a semi-public place without getting in trouble for slander and the like. This is the best place to get up-to-date information (i.e. when the fields are shut and we can't train). So, if you brought a friend along on Saturday, make sure you type their name in the wee box that says "+Add people to Group". It's immediately below Adrian in the banner picture up top.

Subs:

The comp isn't free to play in, and the funds took a bit of a hit last year to cover the cost of the flash as new guernseys we now play in. Cough up, lads.
Subs are $60 with shorts and socks.
Make payments to:
38-9000-0705124-07
Or bring it on Thursday/Saturday

Yours truly,
Deputy Chief Assistant Secretary Grimace
