Greetings to all past, present and future Eagles.
With the days getting slowly longer your thoughts, like mine, must be drifting towards thoughts of kicking a footy around with the best bunch of guys to grace the slightly wonky ovals of the Canterbury Australian Football League.

Notice of AGM:

Monday 28th July, 7pm at the Avonhead Tavern

Season Dates:
This year the season starts on Saturday 30th August and finishes with the final on Saturday 8th November with no weeks off in between, so please don't go away for Labour Weekend.

The first training of the year will take place on Sunday 10th August at the home of the Eagles - Middleton Park. Time to be announced and as usual trainings will shift to the evenings once daylight savings kicks in. We'll have a BBQ and a few beers after training on the 24th August as well.

As usual we look for new members to bring into the flock - if you've been on the recruit or are about to then please do. Pass details on to the Eagles brains trust so we can include them on the message list.
We all no doubt pass on our good wishes to Andy Howison who has been named captain on the NZAFL team for the upcoming International Cup competition in Aussie. Well done Howie and we look forward to plenty of Vs getting thrown around. Well done also to Josh Robles who has been named in the NZ squad.
Congratulations also to Eagles Legend Philip "Bertha" Johnson on the announcement of a potential next generation Eagle.
New Gear:
Thanks to El Presidente's tiring work on behalf of the Eagles we've gained $3000 worth of funding for some new kit. If you'd like to purchase one of the old guernseys (the green ones with the eagle on the front) then they are on sale for $50, first come first served.

In addition to the facebook page we also have a website - www.eaglesafc.co.nz. It's a veritable treasure trove of all things Eagles and includes some classics from years past.
