MEET ONE OF OUR 2016 PRESIDENTS AWARD WINNERS
This week Breakers News caught up with the U12 onballer and last years joint PRESIDENTS AWARD winner Noah Farrow.
In an interview with the club champ we asked Noah some questions about the 2017 season so far.
Breakers News - Can you tell us how the Breakers U12 season is going so far?
Noah - we haven't won a game yet! The coach (Noahs dad) is filthy with us!!!! Its actually come as a bit of a shock really, not winning a game. We only lost 2 games last year in U11s so this has been a bit hard to handly for the group. I think we are actually a better team than last yer with a few new players but the competition in U12 Division 1 is very good. We weren't prepared for it.
Breakers News - What about your own form Noah? How are you going this season? What position have you been playing?
Noah - I'm just trying to play my role for the team..... that's what I'm supposed to say isn't it?? I'm spending most of my time in the middle but I have had a "rest" up forward the last 2 games which I have enjoyed. We are lucky enough to have a few players that play on the ball like Mac, Hudson, Adam, Jack and Jasper who is a new player for us.
Breakers News - You and your family have been around the club for a long time now, what are you enjoying most about the Breakers club at the moment?
Noah - I really like the new training shirts and playing jumpers this season. The like the little design changes the club have made to the players guernseys. They look good. We have got the best jumper in the league so I hope no one every changes it. Thank you to the club and the club sponsors for the new jumper, shorts etc.
Breakers News - Do you get to watch any other Breakers teams play?
Noah - yeah, my younger brother Jude is in U10 Blue so I watch him when I'm not playing. There are lots of great players in U10s. My favourites are Dylan (because he is small like me), Hudson, Charlie and Sticks (cos he is tall). I like watching the U8s as well. Will and Jack are great players.
Breakers News - So final question Noah, as the joint 2016 Presidents award winner, what advise have you got to players about winning this prestigious award?
Noah - well you don't have to be the clubs best player because I was in U11s so I couldn't have been the best player. You just need to love your footy, train hard, respect the coaches and the opposition, be a good sport, help out around the club when you see the chance, use your manners and just love the Breakers Club.
Breakers News - well thank you Noah and good luck for the rest of the season.
Noah - thanks for having me and go the Mighty Breakers!
