CANTEEN NEWS FOR 2017

As the 2017 Sunshine Coast Junior AFL season edges towards kick off we are busy planning the operation of the Canteen. Last year we had a wonderfully supportive breakers community who stepped up to assist in the running of the canteen. And as a result, the financial gains for the club were significant. We are very fortunate to have Andy Guillford volunteering his time again this year as our club canteen convenor. Thank you Andy.

In 2017 we are looking at employing a casual canteen assistant. As the home and away draw has not been released yet we cannot say exactly the dates or requirements of the role, but based on previous years we expect you will be required for all our home games which could be between 10-15 Sundays in the entire season from april till september. We are willing to pay $25/hr for a minimum of 3 hours regardless even if you only work 2 hours. The expected hours are roughly 8.30-2.30pm on home games days depending on how many games are on for the day.  This role would suit a responsible 18+ year old. For all enquiries please contact our club secretary Kate to express interest in this paid position coolumbeachbreakers@gmail.com

Even with our Canteen Convenor and a Casual Canteen assisant we will still require our willing canteen volunteers. This season we would like to gather canteen TEAMS (teams of 3) - this could be you and two of your mates who will be on a roster as to when you are required to assist in the canteen. The more teams we have, the more we get to share the roster around. It would only require being on the roster for 1-2 sundays in the entire season. We encourage all families to volunteer in our club and support our club who supports your children, so gather two of your friends and make your team and email your teams contact details to coolumbeachbreakers@gmail.com

Thank you to all our volunteers. Many hands make light work.
