Great Last Minor Round for Breakers

Our Mighty Breaker Under 8's played their last game at Coolum High on the 'big ovals'(U10 dimensions) and handled it with the skill and ball movement we've come to expect.

Great passing, good marks and lots of goals - well done Breakers U8 Red & Blue!

Our Under 10's looked doiminant in the 10am games and it was great to see how much the Blue team improved since last time they played Maroochydore.

The Reds used great voice and team work to play some fantastic AFL.

In the Under 11 game our Breakers were beaten by a very talented Caloundra team, after being in the contest until 3/4 time.

In the blustery conditions it was a tussle but Coolum kept at the job until tiredness and the strong breeze saw the visitors take the choccies.

More from Andrew soon but what a wonderful team our 11s were in 2015 and in winning 11 matches they are our most successful U11 team ever.

I think today also showed us what great team officials and parents we have so a big thanks - we certainly got a contrasting example of the ugly parent syndrome today.

A shout out to Max who has been pretty crook - hope you get better soom mate!

See you all on Presentation Day.

From Coach Andrew:

Final Scores: Coolum Beach 2.4 dftd by Caloundra 11.5

Goals: Elijah, Jack C

Best: Brody, Sam, Noah

It was great to watch you all play hard, tough and passionate footy - it was pleasure to be your coach and watch your skills develop - you are a fantastic team and well done on a great year.

Hold your heads highand be proud of your achievements and enjoy your break from footy.

Keep fit and see you all at Presentations and also a big thanks to all the parents who helped throughout the season.

Big thanks to Jodie Ann and Lynden for getting through the  & 15 scores, best players every week.

It will be interesting to see if either team played ducks and drakes on Sunday as our Breakers U15 girls face Mountain Creek again this week after recording a 61 to 41 victory at home.

The game didn't affect finishing positions on the ladder but will give the Coolum girls some confidence for the upcoming 1st Semi Final this week.

Our Under 18 girls stormed into the 2015 Finals series with a resounding 106 to 1 point win over last placed North Shore who historically have fielded strong teams in years gone by.

Good luck for the finals girls!
