ROUND THIRTEEN WRAP UP

Thank you as always to everyone who sent in their game wrap ups. I haven't got any photos to share this week unfortunately but if any parents snap any during the coming weeks please email them to coolumbeachbreakers@gmail.com for us to circulate.

ROYS

We have some very talented youngsters in Roys this year who are really starting to display the skills they have learnt along the way this season. Always happy and excited to get out there and enjoy the sunshine. This week we headed to Northshore for our games. Our coaching team do a fantastic job keeping the kids interested and enjoying their experience in AFL and we look forward to seeing them all again next year in the club.

Played against a stronger Maroochydore side. The boys put in an awesome effort for the whole four quarters. Everyone played really well and all the kids displayed fantastic committment this week.

U12 White

Took on Northshore Jets at their home ground and after the obligatory stare at the Jetstar plane as it roared over head the game got under way.

We were off to a slow start with the Jets hitting the scoreboard first. It wasn't until midway through the second quarter that our boys began to find some rhythm but when they did there was no stopping their advance. After a few position changes in the third quarter the coach could not find anything for his "improvement" column on his note pad.

2 goals to Josh, 2 goals to Hudson and 1 goal each to Cooper, Jasper and Woody.

Best on ground went to Coby for his around the field skills and great reading of the play closely followed by Finn for his stand out efforts on the wing where he was instrumental in feeding the ball o the forwards.

Coaches award went to Charlie Ayton for his attack and energy for the ball and for adhering to the coaches game plan.

The parents award was given to Josh not only for his two goals but some very strong marks.

Speaking of marks we can't wrap this up without mentioning Dylans spectacular mid air acrobatic mark in the full back to stop a sure goal. He might be little but he can certainly jump.

Well done boys you should be all super proud of your efforts.
