The kids had a special treat today with a visit from ROY himself. Roy nearly lost his head at one point playing clear the ocean which was pretty funny. The kids had a blast running and jumping and high fiving ROY in the warm up. The kids were thoroughly motivated to get out and play their games with lots of sharing, kicking and hand passing to team mates. Another fun morning in the sunshine with our active kids.

They had a great game against Noosa gold and were evenly matched. Well done to Nate and Isaac who earned players of the week. Great team work was shown by both of you.

A huge thanks to Zavier from the White team for helping and playing for the Reds today. He put in a fantastic performance. A free flowing game with both teams displaying good sportsmanship and skills.

U10 Red v U10 White

Sunny conditions greeted the two Coolum sides today. Playing on a heavy morning dew the Reds and Whites put on a good show, great to watch. The Reds are performing well as a first year team. Lots of good communication amongst the kids and sharing of the ball.

The reds didn't give up and were relentless in their pressure on the opposition in the backline and midfield. Great job Oscar and Harris. Great to see a few boys really stepping up and going for the ball. Well done Jackson and Darwin. An awesome game to watch and impressive effort with all the kids showing 100% hunger for the ball. Up front in forwards Peter was working hard and Rowan delivered with a goal. Overall solid effort from the boys. Thanks to Paul for coaching the kids and parents for their help with the field, washing of jerseys and oranges.

U10 Blue

We headed up to Pomona to take on the Demons on a sunny morning.

Wal has worked all season on getting the kids to think about where they stand rather than just swarming around the ball and today it really showed. Jack and Ollie both racked up plenty of possessions dropping one kick behind the play through the midfield making it difficult for Pomona to get it forward.

Our forward pressure was a real feature too with Austin and Jai both kicking goals off the back of great tackling efforts.

Highlight of the day was Coopers effort after getting winded by the ball to then run the width of the ground to smother a kick.

A great day was had by all. Awards went to Cooper and Austin.

Afterwards a number of the team went and climbed Mount Cooroora together which was a great team building exercise.

U12 White

The boys played a bigger opposition today against the Maroochydore Greens and the size difference was apparent at many contests. Despite the huge heart and fight shown by all the Breakers the greens were able to get free and move the ball swiftly down the field. But our boys never dropped their heads and importantly gave even more effort in the last quarter to own more of the ball and have plenty of opportunities in the forward lines.

A big thanks to Billy Clements and Mitchell Mai stepping up after an earlier game with the U12 Blues and indeed Billy had a cracker of a game showing true Breakers spirit which earnt him the coaches award. B

Best on Ground went to Jasper Delaney taylor and runner up to Ethan Harkness for rock solid strength and tenacity.

Well done boys!! Proud of you for your fight right until the siren.
