These kids are improving week after week. Wonderful to see their confidence growing and grasping some of the basics of the AFL game. We had lots of goals from the kids, lots of team playing and Regan Kowald is a master at getting the kids warmed up, excited and motivated at the start of the day. It was a tad muddy for the spectators, but of course the kids don't care one little bit.

The blues put up a gallant fight against Pomona yesterday. After a slow start, a great smother from Elija resulted in Joey kicking their first goal and with Blake's great intercept in the middle, the confidence and momentum went with the boys.

Well done to Jack for player of the match and Tate for mark of the day. A big welcome to Asher and Cooper for joining the Breakers.

U10 Blue v U10 Red

The showdown was played at home and in great spirits with the coaches working together to ensure both teams had their moments. A big thanks to Levi, Bryce and Remi M who played for the Reds at different stages throughout the game.

Both teams had 10 players so there was plenty of space and with the dry surface the ball was moved quickly from one end to the other with plenty of goals scored.

All the kids looked to get each other into the game which was great to see and Wal made sure the forwards gave the mids plenty of credit for getting the ball down to them each time they scored.

Many fantastic individual efforts throughout the game. A special mention to Cooper and Bryce who took home the awards for the day.

U10 White

Versed Maroochydore Joeys. It was a great game in perfect weather conditions. Playing a game against a team of similar skill level provided some super contests!

The team played well, led by our captain of the round Taj who received a player award for his efforts. James also played a great game despite carrying an injury and took out the other award for the day. Well done boys.

The skills on display were super to see and the teams tackling and pressure was also strong making it difficult for the Roos to score.

Thank you to Liam and Brooke for juicy oranges and snakes after the game.

Go the Mighty Breakers!!!!

Played against Noosa Blue at a muddy Noosa ground with both teams having missing players due to the regional competition.

The whites had a fantastic first quarter with Ethan scoring a goal from about 35m out. Some good hunger for the ball and leading was certainly evident. The 2nd and 3rd quarters were Noosas as we struggled to link up posessions. We fought back in the 4th quarter and finished strongly but we couldn't convert effort into goals and Noosa won the game.

A huge thanks to Charlie Fraser and Jude Farrow for stepping up for the game with the whites pleased to say the performed exceptionally well for us. Some stand out performances from most of the field today with players putting their bodies on the line to be first at the ball, but best on ground went to Chaise and runner up went to Jordan. The coaches award went to Zakai for his extra efforts in ruck and pushing the hardest we've seen him push so far. All up we were very proud of the boys hard work and their never say die attitude. Next week we will be practising linking up our disposals.

U12 Blue

Didn't win on the scoreboard but kept Maroochydore goal-less in the last quarter and won the 2nd half which are both positive signs for the team.

Goal Kickers were Jude Farrow and Adam Nothling

Versed Noosa and won by 60 points.

Goals - Elijah 4, Max, Jaymi, Zac W, Bailey J, Zac D and Jaxon

Best - everyone but especially Elijah, Lachie, Max, Chaise and Zac W

Playing as a team resulted in a strong 10 goal win over the northern rivals and by far our best game of the season.

The highlights were watching the boys belt out the song in torrential rain at the end of the game, reward for all their efforts.

The most satisfying was watching what the kids did at training... switchingplay, kicking on the 45, handballs to players out the back, defending really well, staying a kick behind and in front of the play, tackle pressure and keeping cool.

Can everyone please get to training so we can keep on improving! Well done and Go the Mighty Breakers!!

The team trailed all day against Noosa, but thety had a antastic last quarter with Grant kicking a torp 50m to put us in front for the first time. Noosa responded but Kai slotted a major, deep into the last quarter. In the desperate last 5 minutesNoosa had 3 missed opportunities at goal. Hinterland/Coolum won by 3 points.

Best players - Jack, Tom, Lachie, Brock, Zane, Lleyton

U17 YG

Defeated Hinterland Blues by 15 points.
