COMMITTEE MEETING

It is half way through the season now and we have a very important committee meeting coming up. Our committee meetings have been a bit hit and miss this year and we are looking to change things around a little to hopefully see more of our members in attendance.

This next meeting will be held on Sunday afternoon the 17th June following all the kids games. 4:30pm at the Coolum Beach Bowls Club. Ideally members can stay on for dinner and support the bowls club as this venue will be an ideal location for future Breakers gatherings.

Some of the topics to be discussed will be

- a summary on how well the canteen is tracking

- what's happening around the club and behind the scenes

- league updates

- new competitions to promote girls in footy

- on field success and future development

But more importantly we will be putting the message out that our Secretary, Treasurer and Social Media/Communications roles will be needing to be filled for the 2019 season.

Our current committee members have held these roles for 3 years and are stepping aside from these duties, thus we are asking other members to consider if they could fill these roles in 2019. These roles are vital to the future of the club and without them being filled the club WILL NOT survive.

We greatly appreciate the time spent and dedication by these ladies and the patience of their families as they have dedicated many hours to these roles. We will be celebrating their efforts at the end of the season bash but there is still lots to do and we will not be letting them go that easily.

All the best for our up and coming games.

GO BREAKERS!!!

Dean Blackborough (Club President)
