Roys

It was a wet old Sunday for the little tackers this week. Despite crappy weather they still managed to get out there with a smile on their face and practice their skills in a game like environment. Without such supportive parents I'm not sure we would have got so many out there. Good luck with the footy washing this week!!!!

Versed Noosa Blue. It was a wet and soggy start to the morning at Noosa but the kids showed little concern getting off to a great start with multiple goals. While Noosa contested every posession, our players managed to keep their cool, working as a team to keep the opposition at bay.

Well done to EJ for his best on gground performance and Sebastian achieving todays coaches award. Well done to the whole team for yet another great performance. Go Breakers!!!

A great performance in wet weather up at Noosa this week. Player awards went to Xavier and Josh. It was great to see the players putting their skills from training into practice. Go Breakers!!

It was a tough game with lots of tackling and fantastic ball skills. The first quarter the team played hard and had great defence skills. At half time coach Wal asked the Blues players for some positive feedback - some of the comments were "the goal square is being covered well", "the players on the wing are positioning themselves well", "the centre playersare aiming for good delivery of the ball to their team mates". The third quarter saw Bryce take on a tough tackle which resulted in an injury to his leg - we hope you are resting up Bryce! Fourth quarter we were short one player and Levi (captain) covered two zones and showed great skills for the four quarters. Josh Ingelmo also filled his role for all 4 quarters and provided some tough defence.

The rain held off for us and the blues managed to keep their feet during the contesting for the ball. Awards this week went to Austin Edgerton and Jack Powell.

Thanks to the parents and siblings who provided fruit, goal umpiring, boundary umpiring and water carriers and to coach Wal for both umpiring and coaching.

The U12 whites (and blues) had a late change to playing grounds and were moved to Northshore which is a brilliant turf. Unfortunately the Northshore Jets could only field 13 players and so the coaches agreed to even the teams and give all our kids a good run. With 16 a side there was a few more gaps than usual and the boys had to run a little more. The first quarter was a goal fest for Coolum and we had a good lead going into the second quarter. Throughout the game we rotated our players between the teams and tried many lads in positions not usual for them and to their credit they still displayed the core attribute of teamwork and mateship. The team won convincingly in the end with a big haul of 8 goals from Jasper Delaney Taylor giving him best on ground, while Cassidy showed true heart and grit and really stepped up to be awarded second best on ground. The coaches award went to Finn Wilson for his respect towards his team mates and officials, his extra hunger for the ball and his spectacular over head mark which was his one instruction from the coach!!! Well done Whites - a good win under tough conditions.

U14s

Defeated Norhshore Jets by 52 points.

Goals - Jaymi 2, Noah 2, Elijah, Sam, Baxter, Zac D.

Best - Lachie, Chaise, Darcy, Jaymi, Max, Baxter, Bailey F.

A solid win with only 15 players in wet, slippery conditions at Northshore - some excellent soccer skills and great end to end play. A great team performance and a pleasure to watch.
